John Locke, a great philosopher,  believed that human nature was characterized by reason and tolerance. However, with the political and social rampages that plague the world with protests, wars, and discrimination, can we agree to that statement anymore? With academic and social pressures mounted upon students at even a young age, could we not make the argument that as our world has changed, so have we?
